The second Android platform based smartphone “HTC Magic” is officially announced by Vodafone.
The HTC Magic phone will be exclusively available on Vodafone in the UK, Spain, Germany, France and Italy.

What is the Android OS?

Android is first open source operating system and mobile platform for mobile devices. It’s developed by Google and Open Handset Alliance, based on the Linux kernel.

The first Android platform based phone is T-Mobile G1, and it was released in the US on October 22, 2008, in the UK on October 30, 2008.
